Glycerol is a component that makes up various kinds of lipids, including triglycerides. Glycerol tastes sweet when tasted. Glycerol can be obtained from the process of saponification of animal fat, transesterification of biodiesel fuel making and the epichlorohydrin process and cooking oil processing.
